The trees may have not begun to show their orange and yellow yet, but Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and to many, this holiday marks the beginning of the season. If you don’t feel like cooking this year, many Victoria restaurants have you covered! Offering Thanksgiving dinner either for dine-in or for you to heat up at home.

Fox & Monocle Restaurant will be offering a delightful Thanksgiving turkey roast dinner on Oct. 13 and 14, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a hassle-free holiday meal. The dinner package includes roasted turkey (white or dark meat) paired with gravy, brussels sprouts, and rich mashed potatoes. Accompanying these traditional favourites are sides like mixed greens and cranberry sauce. Additionally, the bakery provides pumpkin pie. If you haven’t tried the bakery, we can assure you that you’ll love it. 

The price of the turkey roast dinner is $40 per person.

The Arbutus Room at Brentwood Bay Resort is offering a Thanksgiving dining experience where guests can enjoy a three-course meal with options to choose from, featuring locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The first course options include a fall salad made with artisan greens, shaved vegetables, orange poppyseed vinaigrette, toasted seeds, dried apricot, and dried cranberry, or a roasted squash and sweet potato soup. The second course is the turkey dinner: Butter and herb roasted turkey breast, sage brioche stuffing, classic turkey gravy, thyme roasted fall vegetables, buttermilk potato purée, and orange and cinnamon scented cranberry sauce.

For dessert you get to pick from a classic pumpkin pie with vanilla chantilly cream or a buttered rum caramel eggnog cheesecake.

The three-course dinner is available on Oct. 13 and 14 and is priced at $79 per person.

Additionally, the restaurant offers take-home options available for pick up on Oct. 13, with options of one serving up to six, starting at $97.

Another restaurant serving Thanksgiving dinner this year is Fathom at the Hotel Grand Pacific. The Thanksgiving dinner menu will be available on Oct. 13 and 14, including a stonyfield squash soup, classic turkey dinner, and pumpkin tarts. You can order these dishes à la carte or as a three-course meal. 

The price of the three-course dinner is $72 per person.

Enjoy an elevated dinner experience at The Dining Room in the Oak Bay Beach Hotel on Oct. 13. The experience features a three-course table d’hôte menu and wine pairing inspired by traditional Thanksgiving fare in the intimate, ocean view Dining Room. Reservations are required and can be made for seatings beginning at 5pm, for groups of 1 to 6 guests.

The price of the three-course dinner is $89 per person and there is an option to add wine pairing for an additional $35.

Roast Meat & Sandwich Shop is roasting up turkeys, porchetta, roast beef and rotisserie chickens, plus all the side fixings like stuffing and veggies to take home. Refire Kitchen is keeping Thanksgiving simple again this year with their one-pan holiday heater. This one-pan Thanksgiving feast is layered with bacon sage stuffing, roast turkey, roast carrots with caramelized onions, and topped with garlic-parm whipped potatoes. Served alongside Refire’s signature gravy and house-made cranberry sauce, this holiday meal is sure to have you going back for seconds and thirds. Finish with something sweet, enjoy an apple oatmeal cookie crumble with caramel sauce.

Refire’s one-pan holiday heater comes in two sizes: 3-4 people for $52 and family tray for 8-10 people is $165.

Then move on to the main course and get the classics: a free range roast turkey with stuffing, brussels sprouts and parsnips, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato purée, and drizzle it with gravy or cranberry sauce. For dessert, there are three options: a pumpkin cheesecake, carrot cake, or house made ice cream or sorbet with a cookie.

The price of the dine-in three-course dinner is $49.95 per person and is available at 10 Acres Bistro, Commons, and at the Pier locations. 

The take-out option is a turkey dinner plate including free range turkey, stuffing, brussels sprouts and parsnips, mashed potatoes, sweet potato puree, cranberry sauce and gravy for $34.95 and is available at the Commons and Pier locations. Soup and cheesecake are available as add-ons and the cut off date to order is Oct. 11.

The menu offers different starters like focaccia, marinated olives and roasted peppers, beet and chicory salad, and local tomato salad, moving on to the mains, including roasted BC turkey breast, slow braised BC pork shoulder, roasted vegetable stuffing, orange glazed beets and winter squash, and for dessert pecan tart.

The Courtney Room’s Thanksgiving dinner is $90 per person and is available on Oct. 13  and 14. Modifications for pescatarians, vegetarians and vegans will be accommodated, just let them know in advance.

If you are looking for a way to give thanks in a different setting, White Heather Tea Room in Oak Bay is a great option, offering a special Thanksgiving high tea on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13. The food experience is made of three different tiers, starting with the bottom tier with a seasonal pumpkin spice scone and a Canadian maple scone with freshly made mixed berry jam, orange lemon curd and the signature White Heather’s cream. That’s all followed by a mini onion and pear quiche and a toasted three-cheese almond crustado. 

The middle tier includes:

  • Roast turkey and cranberry mayo pinwheel on white bread

  • Egg with pimento olive pinwheel on whole wheat bread

  • Salmon and cucumber sandwich on marbled rye

  • Sweet yam mini-sconewich layered with ham, mustard, and pineapple

Finish with the top tier of desserts:

  • Classic Italian tiramisu

  • Date and cinnamon pound cake with a cream cheese 

  • Apricot macaron

  • Pecan and maple tart

  • Traditional Scottish candied-ginger shortbread

  • Earl Grey mini-cupcake with caramel cream

The high tea is offered in three different sizes and are priced at $45, $57, and $63 per person. 

The Thanksgiving high tea menu is also available for take-out.
