Once again, Victoriaā€™s food scene is making a name for itself on the national stage.Ā Ā 

Yelp recently featured four South Island restaurants in its top 100 places to eat in Canada that embody what it means to live the west coast Island lifestyle. As chosen from community submissions from Canadian foodies, these restaurants embrace the rugged forest, the hearty ocean, and of courseā€”Victoriaā€™s brunch scene.Ā Ā Ā

Tacofino Langford now open

Tacofino is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in Langfordā€™s Westshore Town Centre, bringing it's iconic surf town vibes and bold flavours to the West Shore.

The newest Tacofino location will be the third on Vancouver Island, alongside the OG food truck in Tofino, and the downtown Victoria Taco Bar. With seating for 30, it will serve up Tacofino classics like the famous Fish Taco and the legendary Crispy Chicken Burrito, alongside a wide range of fresh vegetarian options, all built around regionally and ethically-sourced ingredients.Ā 

Tacofino Langford is located at 112-800 Kelly Rd. and will be open daily from 11am-11pm for dine-in and convenient take out.

Dine Around and Stay in Town, the food and drink festival featuring more than 45 local restaurants, has been in full force since Jan. 26. The festival allows food lovers the opportunity to try a diverse array of cuisines across the city at set price points.

We have compiled a roundup of some of these limited-time menus that you need to try before the festivalā€™s final day this Sunday. From fine-dining experiences to award-winning restaurants, these are the Dine Around and Stay in Town menus that we are excited about.Ā

Victoria Beer Week event line up announced: The tenth annual festival in March will include a corn hole tournament, a trivia night, and brewery tours and will feature heritage beers and limited-edition collaborations.

Duo Cafe Bakery opens at Inn at Laurel Point. The new coffeehouse is serving up pastries, croissants, sandwiches, and hot drinks. Check out this reel from our Tasting Victoria founder Amelia.

Vagabond Pies pop-up returns for its second takeover of Picnic Coffee this Friday. Enjoy a new pizza menu and good tunes at 1019 Fort. Ā

Chinese New Year Dinner at Golden City Restaurant: Enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the Year of the Dragon this Saturday at 721 Fisgard, 6pm.Ā 

Chinese New Years Dance at The Hallway: Celebrate the new year with dinner and dance featuring DJs FunDipZ, MooseTraks, MyLove, SLow, and Joca. This Saturday at 1724 Douglas, 7pm-12am.

Valentine's Concert: Club Voltaire will perform sultry ballads, hot swing, and sizzling Latin music at Hermannā€™s Jazz Club on Wednesday. Doors 5:30pm, show 7pm.
