Roast turkey, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, this is what we are beginning to dream about when we close our eyes at night. As Christmas approaches, it is time to start seriously considering what you are going to eat for the big holiday dinner. We have compiled a selection of restaurants that are serving both take-out dinners to enjoy at home and dine-in options to make the day a special one. Make sure to reserve your spot!

Ferris’ Upstairs Seafood & Oyster Bar

Ferris' Upstairs Seafood & Oyster Bar has a take home heat and serve Christmas dinner for two available for pick-up on Dec. 24. The dinner is complete with sliced roast turkey, red wine braised cabbage, roasted winter vegetables, whipped potatoes, and squash soup. The dinner also comes with apple and chorizo stuffing, gravy, and cranberry orange chutney as well as sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Limited quantities available.

Jones Bar-B-Que 

Jones Bar-B-Que is serving up a take home Christmas dinner after a barbecue lover’s heart. The star of the show is the smoked turkey breasts and confit turkey thighs, which will be served alongside sausage and brioche stuffing, roasted baby potatoes, cheesy broccoli casserole, and roasted root vegetables. The dinner will be accompanied by bread rolls, turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce. For dessert is apple crumble with cinnamon chantilly cream. A vegetarian option is also available featuring a vegetarian wellington made with roasted red peppers, ricotta, and lentil apple swede stuffing. Dinner is for a minimum of two people and can be served in multiples of two. Limited quantity available and pick-up is on Dec. 23 or 24.

House of Boateng 

House of Boateng has a take and bake Christmas dinner available for pick-up on Dec. 23 and 24. Two menu options are available for the Christmas dinner. Menu A features AAA beef wellington with Maderia jus, while Menu B features roasted turkey breast with stuffing and smoked onion gravy. Both dinner options come with butter mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts with bacon, squash casserole with spiced bechamel, and chicory salad as well as eggnog cheesecake with rum caramel for dessert. The dinner is available for two, four, or six people.

Victoria Harbour House

Victoria Harbour House is serving a three-course sit down Christmas dinner. Choices for starters included roasted butternut squash soup, caesar salad, or prawn cocktail while choices for entrées include traditional turkey dinner, New York steak, or salmon. A dark chocolate reindeer will be served for dessert. Limited seating available.

The Courtney Room

The Courtney Room is serving a three-course sit down Christmas dinner. For starters choose from seared scallops, beef tartare, butternut squash velouté, or apple and chicory salad. For the main dish choose from roasted turkey breast, beef striploin, sablefish, celeriac terrine, or roasted squash agnolotti. Choose between Christmas pudding or apple tarte tatin for dessert.

10 Acres Commons and 10 Acres The Pier

Enjoy a sit down Christmas dinner either at 10 Acres Commons downtown or at 10 Acres The Pier in Sidney. The three-course Christmas dinner will feature options of squash soup, humboldt squid, or beet salad for starters. For the main course, options will include turkey, salmon, or cannelloni. Choose from bread pudding, pumpkin cheesecake, or ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert.

Lure Restaurant & Bar

Lure Restaurant & Bar is offering a four-course sit down Christmas dinner. For starters choose between roasted beetroot salad or butternut squash and ginger soup. Choose between orange and rosemary sous vide turkey or pan roasted coho for the main course. The dinner will feature mushroom risotto, followed by options of sticky toffee pudding or rhubarb and white chocolate panna cotta for dessert.

Q At The Empress

Eat Christmas dinner in the historic hotel with the Q At The Empress four-course sit down dinner. The dinner starts with a chestnut and parsnip velouté followed by main course options including slow cooked turkey, beef tenderloin, salmon, or mushroom fricassée. For dessert, choose between eggnog and ivoire panna cotta or mont blanc. An optional wine pairing is available alongside the dinner. The dinner is ideal for small groups.

Fathom at Hotel Grand Pacific

Fathom is serving up a three-course sit down Christmas dinner. For starters choose between beet salad or cranberry pecan baked brie. Main course options include turkey with stuffing, prime rib with mashed potato, or wild mushroom bourguignon with pomme puree. For dessert choose between eggnog cheesecake or yule log.

The Dining Room at Oak Bay Beach Hotel

The Dining Room has a three-course sit down Christmas dinner and wine pairing. For starters choose between winter squash soup or chevre brûlée. Options for the main course include slow roasted turkey breast with sage bread stuffing, steak oscar with crab croquette, or wild mushroom risotto with shaved white truffle. For dessert, choose between a black forest bombe or a rum baba. The dinner is ideal for individuals and groups of up to six people.
